Summer period
In the summer period, two bathing establishments equipped with all the comforts (sunbeds, umbrellas, pedal boats and canoes, restaurant and snack bar) are operating on the shores of the lake which is perfectly suitable for bathing (no navigation for motor boats).
Winter period
In winter, the skiing facilities of Roccaraso, Pescasseroli and Scanno allow alpine and cross-country ski lovers to practice this sport. Numerous cooperatives in the area organize snowshoe tours on the Park’s trails.
Horse riding with guide, in the equestrian centers of Barrea and Villetta
Cultural itineraries in the range of 30-60 km, to discover villages, hermitages, Romanesque and pre-Romanesque churches and churches and cities of Abruzzo and nearby Molise.
As an example: Sulmona, a medieval city and home of the poet Ovid, is only 40 ‘from Barrea. Pescocostanzo, characteristic village of the century XVII. Agnone, picturesque and historic town, known for its bell factories. Pescasseroli, to visit the zoo with the fauna of the Park and the Sipari palace, a remarkable example of noble architecture of the eighteenth century and birthplace of Benedetto Croce, one of the greatest Italian philosophers of the twentieth century.

The Park area offices (in Barrea, Civitella and Villetta) are able to provide all the information for unforgettable walks to discover the fauna and flora of the Park. Possibility to book guided tours (in the same offices) at reasonable costs.
